Ok, let's rewind time to a year ago when Myfreemixcd.com phoned a potential investor;
"Let me get this right, you got one DJ, a wannabe rapper with a f******
up flow, two guys who thinks Hip Hop is a dance move and one poor fellow
who thinks a Bob Marley is an illegal smoke. Passion alone ain't
enough. Dudes, you gonna be eaten alive in the Mixtape game. You guys are
just too risky man, I'm sorry."

We didn't believe him.
Okay so we aren't rappers, own no sound systems or record labels and
have limited experience in music production. But what we do have is an
acute appreciation for what users want and the creativity and tech savviness to make it happen.
We don't blend in with the crowd, we dare to be different, forging our
own avenue and creating another first - Mixtape lifestyle site.
So with that said, www.Myfreemixcd.com has blossomed into www.MixtapePage.com
and is still the most comprehensive Mixtape site on the web and will always be "The 1st Mobile Mixtape Site In The World". We have
the same passion and love for the DJ's and users as before, but with an
enhanced focus on making your experience with us second to none.

| Is it just the name that is changing or will the layout and functionality of the site be different? |

What a lot of people don't realize, Myfreemixcd.com was and is a mobile website not intended to be used on the desktop computer or laptop.
Due to the popularity of users using the site on both mobile phones and on the desktop, we decided to build a desktop only version for our members which will have more features, a layout that is better suited for the desktop and basically, it will be more comfortable to use.
So in essence, you will have two different layouts, one will be used if you visit us using a desktop computer and the other will be used if you are visiting us using a mobile device e.g. iPhone.
Both layouts will be new to our members when launched on 5th August 2010. |
| Will I be able to comment, rate or embed my mixtapes across the web? |

Yes, but the new upload process will not be available on the launch date of 5th August 2010.
The new upload process will be implemented in Phase Two which should be completed by 1st September.
